What Will I Learn?

  • Conveyors play a central role in industrial processes. Building a conveyor combines many aspects of modeling in Simumatik, from visual and physical aspects, to ports and behavior.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the component editor is required. You can learn the basics of editing and creating components from the Basic Component module.

Material Includes

  • To complete this exercise you need two 3D assets from the Academy library called “conveyor simple” and “conveyor realistic”.

About Course

This tutorial will explain how to build roller conveyors using two different strategies. They will work a bit differently depending on the way the physics and logic is configured. One of the conveyors will have a simple box as collision shape with a motion surface, similar to how a belt conveyor works. The other one will have cylinders as collision shape and move items by actually rotating the cylinders.
